The project kicked off with an initial meeting between the UK partners in Leicester, (after a few preliminary Skype conference calls). Here we began to set out some of the strategic aims and success criteria for the project, specifically how a standardised approach to process mapping could help integrate and link some of the tasks undertaken by a range of different project partners and stakeholders.

The workshop planning is to begin around four of these strategic tasks and the focus that each has for different / complementary stakeholders, specifically (1) strategic definition and development of brief involving co-design with 'clients' including owner-occupiers / tenants and social housing providers; (2) detailed / technical design stages with the support of multi-disciplinary professionals; (3) construction work with contractors (including self-builders) and their extended supply chain partners; and (4) post-occupancy stages to learn the lessons from historical 'best practice' projects.
